Delifonseca Stanley Street is set to host an exclusive wine evening in true Australian style on Wednesday, June 25.
From 7:30pm, the venue’s popular downstairs bar will see the highly anticipated arrival of one of Ian Bird from Australia’s oldest wineries, Burch Family Vineyards.
Kevin Rooney, from Wine importer Enotria will also be on hand throughout the night, to take guests through the great wines, which have been selected to perfectly accompany each dish on the impressive set menu.
Proprietor Candice Fonseca said: “The Burch Family Vineyards are the equivalent of wine-making royalty being the only west coast members of Australia’s First Families of Wine (AFFW) a collective of twelve multi-generational family-owned wine producers.We are honoured to be providing our guests with the opportunity to talk with Ian Bird whilst enjoying their quality wines."
Devised by head chef Marc Paley , the fine feast will consist of an amuse bouche, starter, small plate main and dessert. To begin their meal guests will be served Crab Tuille followed by Duck Chiko Roll with Pum Dipping Sauce, as well as Beef Burger with Smoked Cheese and Beetroot Relish. Those with a sweet tooth can then indulge in Vanilla and Macadamia Nut Mille-Feuille.
Candice added: “We are extremely excited to be working alongside Burch Family Vineyards during the evening. Not only will guests have their taste buds stimulated, they will get to chat directly with the wine maker a unique experience. They will also learn how certain wines accompany various dishes - ultimately teaching them how to make most out of their overall dining.”
The Australian wine evening will take place on Wednesday, June 25 at 7:30pm.
