To close our celebrations of championing women in the food industry, on International Women’s Day we will be talking to some women who are trailblazers and pioneers in their field. We will uncover their amazing journeys and some of the issues they feel are facing women in the food industry today and whether this has changed over time.

Sisters of Frida, is an experimental collective of disabled women. sharing experiences, mutual support and relationships. They found a role model in the artist Frida Kahlo to get their name. She is not one immediately associated with disability and yet her art was filled with images of the crippled body. Sisters of Friday want to celebrate the difference of being of different ethnic origins, different cultures and nationalities, of different sexual orientation, of being mums, having partners and being single women.
