Multiple award-winning Delifonseca has signed to Liverpool entrepreneur Philip Bell’s ‘Lay The Table’ model joining Sapporo as the second partner in combining 'the best ingredients, taste and delivery experience.'
Proprietor of Delifonseca Candice Fonseca said: “We’re really excited to be joining forces with Lay The Table who are working to enhance the region’s incredible food and drink scene. For us, this is a brilliant opportunity to not only be part of a new high-end home delivery concept, but it means that customers outside of our usual city centre delivery radius can enjoy our food and see what we’re all about. We’re looking forward to working alongside the team to create some bespoke dishes and menus alongside our much-loved Delifonseca classics.
“This partnership has come at a time of real change for the brand as we start to look ahead at new opportunities and we thought the moment was right to branch out and extend our offering in addition to our Dockside restaurant, food hall and outside catering arm. We’re all about supporting local businesses and Lay The Table is no exception.”

In the short to mid-term, Lay The Table plans to have 3 to 5 sites on Merseyside producing takeaway food and up to 10 partners.
“We’re currently finalising employment models for the business across the sites and have invested a six-figure sum in the scheme to date,” maintains Bell.
