A taste of Italy at Stanley House Hotel and Spa

A taste of Italy at Stanley House Hotel and Spa

Stanley House Hotel and Spa, Mellor has appointed a new restaurant manager to lead its Grill on the Hill restaurant.
Lorenzo Fassio joins Stanley House from the iconic Royal Crescent Hotel in Bath, where he spent over four years managing the award-winning Dower House restaurant.
He also played a pivotal role managing the customer experience while the Grade I listed hotel - previously part of the Von Essen Collection - benefitted from a £5 million transformation.
Fassio’s career highlights also include time at the Bellevue Hotel in the Italian mountains, which holds a Michelin Star and the luxurious Inn at Manitou, Canada.
The 32 year old, who is originally from Asti in Northern Italy, now lives in the Ribble Valley.
He commented: “Stanley House stands out as a highly reputable and stylish destination for diners and I’m really looking forward to injecting my passion for creating a quality experience for customers.
“My parents own a restaurant and so my love of the industry developed from a young age, I believe Stanley House has a strong family ethos and so I was instantly attracted to the position.”
This is the second managerial appointment from Stanley House this month as the hotel embarks on a strategic plan to attract experienced professionals from the hospitality industry. Recently, Jo Bullock was appointed as director of the hotel’s luxury spa.
General Manager, Philip Wharton, said: “In a competitive field it’s important we have experienced professionals in place to lead our teams.
“We continuously seek ways to evolve our offering, while surpassing customer expectation and Lorenzo is a great addition to our management team.”
The Grill is open for Sunday lunches, and Tuesday - Saturday for dinner.  It delivers serious, delicious dishes, using the best Lancashire produce, award winning wines and international beers, delivered in stylish surroundings.
