Harbour View Thanks Neighbours

"We were delighted to show our thanks to Beresford Court."
Waseem Mir

When the manager of the Harbour View Fish and Chip Restaurant in Seaton Sluice heard that his neighbours at a residential housing scheme were desperately missing his award-winning meals, he decided to reward their patience and loyalty by giving them all a free lunch.

During the lockdown period, some residents at Anchor Hanover’s Beresford Court were (and still are) confined to their homes to protect them from the virus. Harbour View opened its doors recently for takeaways only and Beresford Court manager Justine Ripken happened to say how much her residents missed their fish and chips.

Manager Waseem Mir was delighted to help.

“We’ve been closed for nearly three months and every day during this time we’ve received countless emails and social media messages asking us when we are reopening. People were really missing us. I’m especially pleased to show our appreciation to Beresford Court as they are regular customers and they have supported our restaurant for many years.”

Justine added, “This was a lovely gesture from Mr Mir and his staff. We are very lucky to have them right next door to us and the fish and chips were well worth waiting for.”
