Godel wins Judges Leadership Award at the Northern Tech Awards.

"We are focused on delivering software development properly for those UK brands that need it and that focus brings success. Its always nice be rewarded for hard work."
Neil Turvin

Presenting to the 2017 panel of judges the company was given the Judges’ Leadership Award recognising the efforts of chief executive, Neil Turvin as the driving force behind Godel’s growth. Godel is one of the fastest growing tech companies in the North and is amongst the region's high growth achievers.

Compiled by GP Bullhound the European technology investment bank, the awards recognise the entrepreneurs and businesses that have led the growth of the Northern digital economy in the past year. Data compiled by GP Bullhound and Tech North has shown that the 100 fastest growing tech firms in the North generated over £1.9bn in revenue in 2016.

In particular, the strength of software development in the North was highlighted, with a total of 31 software companies in the 100 fastest growing companies. Of these, 19 were recognised within the top 50 fastest growing companies. This represents an increase on the 12 software businesses included in the top 50 last year, increasing the sector’s total share to 38 per cent in 2017.

Godel, a nearshore software development company, reported its annual turnover had reached over £9 million for the year to December 2016 - a 62% increase in turnover from the same period last year when revenues reached over £5.5 million.

“In 2017 technology is the business – digitisation has taken hold in every industry and provides the business a platform for increased commercial success –we are there to help organisations deliver it quickly and efficiently by providing them with the skills they need,” explains Neil Turvin.

“We are focused on delivering software development properly for those UK brands that need it – and that focus brings success. It’s always nice be rewarded for hard work and also within the Northern tech industry.”

A string of high profile client wins in 2016 including Virgin Holidays, Jet2, Rentalcars, Clifford Thames, Boden and First Utility means that the company has recorded another record trading year and will look to add another 100 employees across its operations in Manchester and Minsk, Belarus in 2017 – taking its total to 450 staff.
