Bringing Ultrafast Gigabit Internet to Kelsall

"We are looking forward to working with Kloud9 and believe that Aberla Utilities is a great fit for this project due to our experience of working in rural areas"
Paul McCarren

WARRINGTON, Cheshire - Kloud9 has announced its plans to work with rural communities to expand ultrafast gigabit internet to more homes and businesses.  Kelsall in Cheshire is identified as the next community to which Kloud9 will deploy a fibre network. The first phase will encourage residents to register their interest in partnering with Kloud9 to install a broadband network that offers up to 1000 Mbps upload and download speeds.

Once the fibre network is installed, households will experience convenience at a click of a button. Stream music, play online games, seamlessly work from home, or video chat with friends and enjoy lightning-fast speed — and on multiple devices. All household members can be simultaneously connected and enjoy the benefits of ultrafast download and upload speeds.

Businesses will be able to make better use of time and grow much quicker. Companies will use this network to cut wait times for customers, conduct online transactions, enjoy super-fast and uninterrupted video conferencing,  and reach a broader customer base.

Kloud9 is registered supplier of the Project gigabit voucher scheme. The scheme is designed to reduce the installation cost of the network and any associated customer connection fee and is exclusively available for rural communities to use. The scheme is provided by the Department of Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) and is open to residents and businesses within Kelsall.

“We believe that everyone deserves the power of ultrafast internet, as lightning download speeds are a game-changer. The convenience to a household and unlocking efficiencies in a business is at the click of a button when you have 1000 Mbps upload and download speeds," says Alex Jackson, owner and founder of Kloud9.

Kloud9 has selected Aberla Utilities as the build partner and to provide a total turn-key solution for the network infrastructure deployment. Aberla has demonstrated expertise in delivering fibre network infrastructure across the UK and will be providing network design, civil engineering, fibre installation and maintenance to the project.

Paul McCarren, chief executive officer at Aberla, commented, "We are looking forward to working with Kloud9 and believe that Aberla Utilities is a great fit for this project due to our experience of working in rural areas as well as the efficiency that the team brings to site."

Kloud9 hope to begin the network deployment on the 22nd of November. The first stage is a detailed site survey of the existing duct and pole infrastructure within Kelsall. This will enable Kloud9 to utilise existing infrastructure, which will speed up the installation, minimise costs and avoid unnecessary disruption to the area.
