Aceparts recognised for quality of apprenticeship training

"We are proud to work with Catch 22 and delighted that our commitment to our apprentices has been acknowledged."
Ben Friedman

Acquired by Vertu Motors plc in 2015, online car parts retailer Aceparts has employed apprentices across a range of disciplines including sales, data management and accounts.

It currently has two apprentices in the business and plans to recruit two more over the next few weeks. A number of previous apprentices have forged successful careers within the company.

Catch22 delivers high quality apprenticeships, vocational training and employment support programmes that are tailored to the needs of job seekers, and that fulfil the requirements of today’s businesses.

Over the last four years Catch22 has become a national award-winning provider of apprenticeship training programmes, servicing more than 500 business and supporting over 1000 apprentices with great success stories and results.

Ben Friedman, managing director of Aceparts, said: “We are proud to work with Catch 22 and delighted that our commitment to our apprentices has been acknowledged.

“At Aceparts we take pride in delivering apprenticeships that offer a fantastic start to a career, shaping our next generation of colleagues as well as the future of the motor industry. Our apprentices are valued, and empowered members of our team and we are committed to supporting and celebrating their success, a philosophy shared by Catch 22.”

Chris Stoker-Jones from Catch22 said: “On deciding the winner for the Large Employer of the Year award, we were seeking an employer who runs a Catch22 apprenticeship programme, supporting young people and giving them excellent long-term opportunities.

“With its managing director at the helm, Aceparts is a perfect example of what an apprenticeship scheme is meant to look and feel like, and the reason these programmes are so effective.

“Since Catch22 started working with Aceparts in 2015, eight of our apprentices have completed Business Administration apprenticeships with Aceparts, in various departments.  Every single apprentice has been offered full time employment upon completion.

“Many have taken up these long-term opportunities and stayed with this employer. But whether they did or not, each apprentice gained excellent skills, confidence and experience from the programme.  Aceparts gave all of them the perfect start to their careers.

“This organisation is a wonderful example of an employer investing in the future of young people.”
