"In an era when many young people are priced out of football, it is great that we are able to partner with a club who pride themselves on making football accessible for all."
Michael Birkett, CEO at the Regenda Group
Regenda Homes, which owns, maintains and manages over 13,000 properties, has agreed to be the main sponsor of City of Liverpool FC for another two seasons.
The announcement caps off what has been a fantastic start to the season for the relatively newly formed club, including an 8-2 win in their FA Cup reply against Prescott Cables.
Last season, City of Liverpool FC, who play at the TDP Solicitors Stadium in Bootle, won the Reusch Cup, the Macron Cup, and secured promotion to the Hallmark Security League Premier Division.
Michael Birkett, CEO at the Regenda Group, said: “I am absolutely delighted to extend our partnership with City of Liverpool FC after what has been an outstanding season.
“All of our staff have followed the team very closely and even made the trip up to Fleetwood for the recent Macron cup final.
“In an era when many young people are priced out of football, it is great that we are able to partner with a club who pride themselves on making football accessible for all. Through access to football, young people are inspired to get involved in active lifestyles and this has a huge impact on health within our communities.
We are really enjoying being part of this exciting journey and the huge benefits being involved with a community based football club brings.”
COLFC Chairman Paul Manning said "The support we have received from Regenda Homes throughout the season has been outstanding, not just with the sponsorship, but actually at matches! Regenda have their own Purple supporters club and staff and Directors can be seen at all our games, enjoying the football and the community that we are building together.
“To have a further 2 year sponsorship from Regenda Homes is a massive benefit to the club. We are a volunteer organisation so to not have to spend time looking for a main sponsor for the next two seasons, really allows the Directors to focus upon core activities and I personally would like to thank Dr Michael Birkett for his tremendous and ongoing support”
