Andreas Emmanuel offers free marketing course for struggling firms in the North

"There's so much untapped potential in the North and I believe that the next great British companies will come out of the region in this decade, provided they know how to market themselves."

Andreas Emmanuel, founder and Managing Director of Emmanuel Marketing, a boutique marketing agency specifically designed for SMEs, has today announced his firm will offer an intensive, two-day marketing course at no cost for entrepreneurs and business owners from the North of England. The workshops will teach everything from the basics of digital marketing, graphic design, social media and advertising strategy.

This will allow companies in the North who have struggled during the coronavirus pandemic to perform marketing functions in house, which is vital as many SMEs cannot afford to hire outside agencies due to current lockdown restrictions hindering incomes.

Andreas Emmanuel began offering increased support to SMEs over the past year and in particular to those in his native North East, but he and his firm mean to step this up in 2021. The first of his workshops will run in late Spring this year, with two running per quarter for the remainder of the year. Andreas is also offering one-to-one marketing consultation for a fee.

Andreas Emmanuel, founder of Emmanuel Marketing said: “This is one of the hardest times to be a small business owner in the past century, with the North hit hard than most. Many entrepreneurs who do amazing work are struggling, so I felt it was wrong for us to sit on our hands and do nothing.”

“That’s why we are offering these workshops. There are businesses with great products who don’t have the know-how to market them, which is what we want to enable them to do.”

Andreas will deliver this crash course and teach the owners of five SMEs in the North of England everything they need to know to run their marketing operations in house, with a special focus on marketing in the post-covid world. Small businesses usually have a limited number of staff and budget allocated to marketing and advertising, so he will explore cost-effective and simple ways that entrepreneurs can market their product and services.

While Andreas operates all over the UK and many of his clients are London-based, he has seen first-hand how firms in the North have struggled over the past year. As most investment tends to be focused on London and the South East, many firms in the North are fighting to keep their heads above water.

Andreas Emmanuel said: “There’s so much untapped potential in the North and I believe that the next great British companies will come out of the region in this decade, provided they know how to market themselves.”

“Firms all over the UK have amazing stories and it's our job at the agency to help tell them. We hope we can pass some of that knowledge on with these workshops and really kickstart a new wave of enterprise in the region.”
