Energy investment consultancy primes for growth into renewables

Claydon Energy Partners, the London-based international energy investment consultancy, has today set its sights on expansion into the renewables market as it primes for recovery after the pandemic.

As part of its renewed focus on the green energy sector, the business has today launched a new dedicated, standalone consultancy service that will cater to investors who are interested in building exposure to solar, wind, and tidal energy infrastructure projects.

The announcement also signals the business' intention to become the leading advisor to investors on global renewable energy projects as investment interest in these projects picks up at a very quick clip.

Scott Johnson, founder of Claydon Energy Partners, said: "This is the right time for us to launch this new service. There has been a dramatic uptick in the amount of interest in renewable investments worldwide, and this is where we see the future of growth coming from for our consultancy."

The energy consultancy, which is based between Suffolk and London, advises investors on geopolitical risk and energy investment opportunities. Founded in 2001, the business originally carved out a name for itself as a leading advisor on oil and gas opportunities worldwide.

The launch comes as more investors show an interest in socially impactful investments and turn away from industries associated with pollution and environmental degradation. It also comes as new reputation research shows wealthy investors are putting more precedence on the reputational credentials of their investments.

The service will involve deal origination and sourcing, deal structuring, investment consultancy, and active monitoring of the ethical credentials of investors' portfolios.

Scott Johnson added: "Our legacy has been in the oil and gas sector, so we have, admittedly, been slower than others to move on this front. But we now recognise that this trend is here to stay.

"But, importantly, while the range of our consultancy services may be changing, our emphasis on client satisfaction, sophistication of advice, and impeccable service will not."

A leading energy investment consultancy, Claydon Energy Partners was founded to give families and private clients access to a discreet service and expert knowledge on the global energy market.
