Haleys help local charity reach their Goal

Haleys help local charity reach their Goal

""

haleys were proud to sponsor a table at a charity ball last weekend to raise funds for a very special little boy and raise awareness of NKH.

When Joseph Kendrick was diagnosed with non-ketotic hyperglycinemia (NKH), his father set up a charity in his name, ‘Joseph’s Goal’.

Based in Wigan, the charity, which was formed in 2012 has gone from strength to strength, raising funds to research the rare genetic disorder NKH.

The ball, the first of its kind, was attended by over 300 people and although the final total raised has yet to be confirmed, it is looking to be around the £13,000 which is an incredible achievement.

Paul Farrington, senior client manager at haleys attended the ball with some close friends and clients. He commented that “The event was a great success, everyone had a wonderful time and raised money for a very worthwhile cause. It was lovely to see so many people turn out and raise so much money for a local charity and we were delighted to have a table at the event.”

The ‘all star’ raffle included many items from Wigan Athletic and Wigan Warrior’s stars which in itself raised a huge £6,500, whilst a number of the players attended. In particular Wigan Athletic defender Emmerson Boyce who patiently posed for photographs, including the one above with Paul, despite having already played 90 minutes in the afternoon’s fixture against Watford.
