FormAssembly Offers Free COVID-19 Assistance Program

Indiana-based tech company, FormAssembly, is helping organizations on the front lines of COVID-19 with critical data collection requirements

FormAssembly Offers Free COVID-19 Assistance Program

"We decided we were going to support the efforts of those customers and other organizations on the front-line of the pandemic by giving free access to our data collection platform."
FormAssembly CEO Cedric Savarese

The COVID-19 pandemic continues to cause widespread economic concerns yet many organizations, particularly in the non-profit and healthcare sectors, are still pressing on in the front lines in their fight against the pandemic.

One key approach being used in the fight against COVID-19 is through the collection and interpretation of valuable new data and therefore organizations need more help and resources specifically in this area. This is why FormAssembly, a cloud-based form building and data collection platform, is providing pro bono accounts and free implementation support to organizations with projects directly involved in the fight against COVID-19. With a combination of their form building technology and high security and compliance standards, organizations can easily collect the data through self-assessment questionnaires, clinical trial screening, volunteer registration forms and donation forms – the critical data they need to make an impact

We spoke to Cedric Savarese, CEO of FormAssembly, and asked what inspired him to help:

“We have a long history of working with nonprofits and healthcare organizations and helping them collect data for mission-critical projects. In early March, we started to hear from customers about COVID-19 specific initiatives - how they, in one instance, were going to use FormAssembly to facilitate remote counseling and healthcare consultations, or in another case, how they were gathering data to assess the preparedness of healthcare workers.”

“This was an incredible opportunity for us to make a difference at a much larger scale. We decided we were going to support the efforts of those customers, and other organizations on the front-line of the pandemic, by giving free access to our data collection platform, and providing pro-bono implementation services.”

Multiple organizations, including the Kaiser Family Foundation and University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust have already taken advantage of this program to support their unique efforts in the fight against COVID-19.

"I chose FormAssembly on the recommendation of a research group in the UK who had great experience with the company. We wanted a high-quality platform dedicated to ensuring good data protection,” said Dr. Eliz Kilich, Internal Medical Trainee at University College London Hospital NHS Trust. “I am very grateful to FormAssembly for all their hard work and generosity in helping us develop a survey to understand how COVID-19 is affecting healthcare workers in our hospital. The team at FormAssembly is exceptional in their professionalism, speed, and willingness to help."

Whilst many organizations have had to make rapid and major changes to facilitate remote working capabilities, FormAssembly have been operating successfully as a fully remote company since 2006. FormAssembly’s remote work structure and robust business continuity plans have ensured that the company will continue to support its customers throughout the COVID-19 crisis and beyond.

We asked Cedric Savarese about how being a fully remote company helped FormAssembly react quickly to the crisis and offer their support:

“We are a 100% remote organization, so our day-to-day operations haven’t been affected at all. This has allowed us to focus on communication. We quickly reassured our own employees that the company was financially strong and that no jobs were at risk, and we designed and implemented our COVID-19 assistance program in just a few days.”

Finally we asked Cedric how he felt about the impact FormAssembly have had so far:

“Our purpose is to facilitate the work of the people who are making a difference. We’re really proud of what we can do, but it pales in comparison to the efforts and dedication of these front-line workers. To date, we’ve been able to work on over 50 projects, from helping small, community-oriented nonprofits recruit volunteers, to large institutions gathering data at a global scale.”

“Our mission is to help organizations collect, use, and be good stewards of the personal data entrusted to them. This idea of data stewardship, in a world that is increasingly concerned about data privacy, is a cause we’re committed to advocate for and defend as a company. “

If your organization has an immediate need to securely collect data for your COVID-19 project, you can find more information and apply for the assistance program at https://www.formassembly.com/coronavirus-assistance/.
