YPS are thrilled to announce that following an official exchange of contracts on Monday 15th July, they are now the proud owners of a new state-of-the-art head office and national distribution centre!

In the last eight years the business has tripled in size, which has lead the film to outgrow their current premises. Earlier this year they erected a temporary building for additional storage but with growth expected to continue following a record breaking end to the financial year in June, it had become clear that a longer-term solution was required. As such, Yorkshire Packaging's new home is 30,000 square foot, representing a 50% increase in size compared to the current site, giving the company a much greater capacity to supply customers. The plans also include a significantly larger showroom than the current facility, offering more scope for demonstrations and trials to be carried out on a wider range of equipment.

There are no surprises for guessing that the new premises will be located in Yorkshire (it’s all in the name), however YPS will be departing from Dewsbury and saying hello to Brighouse! The new YPS HQ will in fact be conveniently and centrally located less than one mile from junction 25 of the M62 motorway. This superb position on the M62 corridor means that YPS will still be perfectly placed to service customers across the UK with the fast turnaround of spares and film orders, as well as engineering assistance, that they are known for. 

The relocation will take some time to plan and implement, with the expected move-in date still 18 months away, towards the end of 2020. During this time YPS are concentrating on doing everything possible to prepare for the smoothest transfer with minimal disruption to customers. For example, they intend to conduct the switching of telephone lines over a weekend to prevent any break in  service.

Throughout the entire process YPS will keep all customers informed of important dates and details, including (perhaps most importantly) the details of their invitation to the grand unveiling!
