Consenna, the Edinburgh-based business consultancy that delivers sales and marketing growth programmes for global technology customers, has announced the appointment of Trevor Evans to the role of Managing Director. His appointment sees former MD and founder, Douglas Jeffrey, assume the role of Chairman.
With an accomplished and renowned career in business IT, Trevor has operated at Director level for the past 15 years during which he has held positions with HP and most recently, Apple. Specialising in change management, grasping emerging opportunities and innovation-led growth, his experience has seen him operate within the UK market and overseas, where he has engaged with senior executives at a multitude of global IT organisations.
Trevor’s appointment will see him focus on growing Consenna’s already impressive customer portfolio, he comments: “Having built my career leading businesses for some of the world’s most respected technology companies, I have first-hand experience of the pressures and business dynamics that customers we’re seeking to work with, confront on a daily basis.
“In an increasingly competitive market, both goals and resources are stretched further and further. I’ve walked in those shoes, know the market, the key players within it, and this equips me to demonstrate how Consenna can help amplify and maximise their sales and marketing strategies.”
Established since 2009, Consenna provides a range of applications, technology solutions and professional services to global businesses seeking to enhance sales effectiveness and create competitive advantage. Amongst its clients are HP, Lenovo, Kodak, Microsoft and BT.
Douglas Jeffrey who founded the business has become Chairman since Trevor’s appointment and he comments: “I worked closely with Trevor whilst at HP and have witnessed his enviable skillset and dynamic leadership first-hand.
“His ability to consistently deliver impressive results, coupled with his consummate understanding of the customers we’re seeking to work with, will serve Consenna well as we look for step change growth in the coming few years. I am delighted to have him lead us into this exciting period of expansion.”
Whilst Consenna is based in Edinburgh, Trevor will split his time between his home in England’s M4 technology corridor, the company’s Scottish HQ and in situ with customers, wherever they may be. He concludes: “Geography is largely irrelevant when it comes to engaging with both our existing and future customers and I look forward to working wherever is needed.
