Surging demand in Europe has helped The Translation People achieve record annual revenues.
The translation and language services provider grew turnover by 15 per cent in 2016 from £3.9m to £4.5m.
Sales in Switzerland, Belgium and Denmark more than doubled, and revenues in France and Italy rose by more than 40 per cent. Germany and the UK also saw double-digit increases.
Among the biggest growth areas were logistics, digital security, clinical trials and energy.
The Translation People, which was founded by Steve Wilde and David Nichols and employs 34 people, is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year.
Its largest office in terms of staff and revenue is in Birmingham.
The company added more than 200 professional translators to its global network during 2016 as demand increased.
It now employs the services of nearly 4,500 professional translators, who work on projects such as websites, marketing material, corporate communications, software, technical manuals, contracts and videos.
Managing director Steve Wilde, pictured right with David Nichols, said the firm is targeting further double-digit revenue growth this year, with United States, France and Germany leading the way.
Sectors such as pharmaceuticals, technology, transport and energy are looking especially buoyant, he said.
Steve added: “We are extremely pleased to announce a record performance for the business in 2016, during which we won a number of key contracts against stiff competition.
“We are confident that these results will act as a springboard to achieve our growth plans in 2017.

Meanwhile, Alan White has been promoted to the new post of business development director. He joined the firm in 2001 as an account manager and became business development manager in 2008.
Steve said: “Alan’s knowledge of the industry and his ability to find innovative solutions for clients are second to none and he fully deserves his promotion to this key new role.”
