"Testrak enables employers quickly to identify and isolate positive cases among their staff while maintaining control of the process in-house."
The Halesworth, Suffolk-based property services and technology company Fjeld Consulting has launched a system that enables employers to deploy, and track, regular Covid-19 testing of staff. Testrak combines a mobile-friendly app with rapid antigen testing to enable businesses to monitor and limit the spread of coronavirus among their employees.
Testrak is a unique solution which enables organisations to track and display the results from rapid antigen tests carried out in the workplace. The Testrak team offers a range of government-approved rapid antigen tests, which deliver results in just 15 minutes, to be used alongside the software.
The Testrak system is deployed to organisations pre-loaded with employee data provided by the employer. Where applicable this includes the branches or regions in which individuals work, as well as initial test counts.
Employers can enter test results into the system using any mobile device, with the option to upload a photo of each test cassette. Test results are centrally managed and can be emailed to employees or forwarded by companies to their clients as “safe-to-work” reassurance.
The Testrak portal also provides the employer with a real-time overview of the status of its workforce, displaying up-to-date testing data as it is logged and reported. The system is being marketed widely to organisations ranging from office occupiers and supermarkets to care homes and film sets.
The UK Government has urged all businesses whose employees cannot work from home to implement regular workplace testing in order to control the spread of the virus. Testrak is aimed at employers of any size who wish to protect their staff and customers.
Grace Morgan, thought leader at Fjeld Consulting and creator of Testrak, said, “Employers should all be doing whatever they can to keep their staff, customers and the wider public safe as we embark on the essential reopening of our economy. Testrak enables them quickly to identify and isolate positive cases among their staff while maintaining control of the process in-house.
“Testrak’s tests are conducted quickly, on-site, and return results within 15 minutes. Free NHS PCR tests, which can involve long queues and waiting times of up to three days for results, just aren’t a practical alternative for businesses that need to know the status of their employees in real time.
“At this time we all have a duty to pull together to stop the spread of the virus. I also believe there will be a commercial benefit for companies that deploy Testrak and can demonstrate to their customers, clearly and accurately, that they are doing everything they can to keep them safe.
“We also recognise that the situation is fast-moving, and that nobody can predict the future trajectory of the virus. With this in mind, and in the hope that Testrak soon becomes unnecessary, we are offering contracts of just three months in length.”
