Educational Animation Supports The Hospitality Industry In Their Challenges

Having identified a previously unthought of solution for the hospitality industry to reduce waste, Plexus Innovation has released an animation to demonstrate how some simple adjustments will help them improve significantly in a number of crucial areas.

Educational Animation Supports The Hospitality Industry In Their Challenges

"We have spoken to a number of hotel and hospitality providers who admit that they would benefit from understanding their cold storage better for the good of the food and beverages they serve."
Plexus Innovations managing director, Ian Murray

Aimed specifically at helping hotels and hospitality venues, the animation introduces GUARDIAN®, a must-have IoT technology product that is designed, developed and manufactured in the UK.

Looking at how to remove problems associated with waste of water and energy, as well as cold storage performance preventing potential food waste and ensuring that beverages are always served at an optimum temperature, the animation shows how to improve operations and financial performance.

Taps in hotel bathrooms and hospitality washrooms can be left running by guests and staff on a frequent basis. It’s worth noting that one hot tap left running for an hour wastes enough water to fill six baths and enough energy to power a domestic home for 24 hours. Multiply that across the industry and the water and energy waste levels become staggering.

Plexus Innovation’s managing director, Ian Murray, said:

“We have spoken to a number of hotel and hospitality providers who admit that they would benefit from understanding their cold storage better for the good of the food and beverages they serve. They are also aware they regularly have taps left running but many don’t appreciate the scale of water and energy waste along with the financial and environmental cost associated with that. With this in mind, we needed to show them quickly and easily how GUARDIAN® can do reduce all of that and more.”

The animation shows how GUARDIAN® measures and monitors temperature, bringing business improvements which help operators in the sector meet those challenges. It also depicts scenarios where GUARDIAN® can best benefit by monitoring in real-time, enhancing business compliance and saving money.

In addition to removing the need for any manual measurements and providing a solution to many of the challenges outlined already, GUARDIAN® can also identify and alert to water leaks, water heaters under stress and failing assets - all enabling early intervention to be taken before a situation becomes a crisis.

Ian Murray, concluded:

“We know how busy everyone in hospitality is and that the benefits gained from implementation of GUARDIAN® overlap with their current challenges. We believe that this animation, which is around two minutes long, is a great way to explain how we can help. We work with a growing group of hotel and hospitality providers and the positive impact we are having is proving to be significant, so the more we can do to deliver our message, the more we can help with their challenges.”
