New General Manager at Vantage Motorhomes

Vantage Motorhomes, the leading independent UK manufacturer of panel van conversions, has appointed Ben Dawes as General Manager.

New General Manager at Vantage Motorhomes

"I am looking forward to taking Vantage through its next phase, holding on to our core values of quality workmanship in every aspect of the build process and excellent customer service. "
Ben Dawes

Ben joined the Company in 2018 as Sales Manager. He has a wealth of experience in the motorhome, caravan and leisure industries.

Michael Hardicker, MD Vantage Motorhomes, says, ‘When Ben joined us in sales he also brought with him experience in the manufacturing side of things, so we were planning ahead. We’re a growing business in a growing industry, and finding the right people to work with us is extremely important. His time with the Company has prepared him to step into the role of General Manager with considerable experience of our procedures and it has been a very smooth transition.’

Ben says, ‘I am looking forward to taking Vantage through its next phase, holding on to our core values of quality workmanship in every aspect of the build process and excellent customer service with the fantastic team we have here at Vantage.’

Ben takes over from Dave Walsh who retires next month. Dave has been involved in introducing a steady programme of innovations and improvements to both processes and design. He’s also overseen the introduction of new models and has been key to the continued success of the Vantage brand.

Michael Hardicker says, ‘Dave has been instrumental in so much of what we have done here since we took over in 2016. He has had a big impact at Vantage and we are very grateful for all that he has done. We wish him well in his retirement, although we are not saying goodbye completely. Dave will continue to support the Company with future VCA (Vehicle Certification Agency) approvals and maintaining our high standards in line with our type approval.  Customers can also expect to catch up with him at the NEC shows where he’ll join the team on our stand.’

Dave Moore steps into the Sales Manager position. He joined last year with a view to heading up sales when Ben became General Manager.

Vantage manufactures quality award-winning van conversion motorhomes using the Fiat Ducato base vehicle.  The Company has earned a reputation for excellent craftsmanship and attention to detail, for versatile layouts and a very personal approach to customer service.

Vantage Motorhomes has its factory showroom in Leeds. There are 12 models in the Vantage range, ten with two berths, and the latest additions to the range which offer more flexibility and four travelling seats. www.vantagemotorhomes.co.uk
