Disruptive Online Builders Merchant Expands With New Tile and Floor E-Superstore

"This is our sixth online superstore for specialist building supplies and materials, and grows our range of available products to a total of more than 75,000 across all of our websites "
Andy Dunkley, CEO of CMOStorescom

Rapidly expanding e-commerce builders’ merchant, CMOStores.com, has added a sixth portal to its family of online building material retail platforms, further extending the comprehensive range of building products it offers to both professional contractors and DIY enthusiasts throughout the UK.

The new e-superstore, TileandFloorSuperstore.co.uk, offers more than 5,000 flooring products including marble and porcelain tiles, laminate flooring and carpet tiles. As well as the convenience of shopping online with 24-hour ordering, customers can also benefit from CMOStores.com’s award winning customer service and telephone support.

The new tile and floor e-superstore complements the company’s existing and successful websites CMOTrade.co.uk, DoorSuperstore.co.uk, , DrainageSuperstore.co.uk, InsulationSuperstore.co.uk      and RoofingSuperstore.co.uk, that already generate in excess of £38m in revenue.

Andy Dunkley, CEO of CMOStores.com, said: “This is our sixth online superstore for specialist building supplies and materials, and grows our range of available products to a total of more than 75,000 across all of our websites as well as opening up a significant market opportunity for us as a growing firm.

“With the building and construction materials sector having seen very little change despite the huge technological advances experienced by many other industries, we believe that the market is generally overpriced, and that customer service is undervalued. We have a clear aim to disrupt the traditional building merchant sector in a positive way, bringing the benefits and service ethos of leading-edge e-retail to the construction materials market.

“So far, our approach is proving extremely popular with our established five platforms continuing to perform well. The launch of this latest tile and floor superstore builds on this success by offering customers an even wider range, enabling us to serve them better.”

Mr Dunkley continues: “Once again, our in-house team of e-commerce developers has created a bespoke platform, providing a market leading user experience. As ever, providing customers with the advice and support they need to make their purchase decision is central to our offering.”

Established in 2008, CMOStores.com (previously known as Construction Materials Online or CMO) now employs a 100-strong team at its new headquarters in Plymouth.

Private equity house, Key Capital Partners (KCP), made an £8.65m investment in the business in 2017 having recognised its potential for rapid national growth.
