Just 18 months after launching oven valeting business Ovenu Brentwood, Graham Barnard has been recognised by Trustist with a diamond award for outstanding customer service.

The accolade represents a significant achievement for the former BT Openreach manager, who just months after opening the venture was forced to overcome the challenges of a global pandemic.

Graham, from Brentwood, said: “I’d accepted redundancy from my previous job and was ready for a complete change of career.

“However, it proved a hectic first 12 months, but this business has gone from strength to strength and to receive an award is the icing on the cake.”

In May, he took on former chef Tobias Titchner as a subcontractor to cope with a growing order book.

He added: “This business is founded on great service and there is no higher praise than glowing testimonials from the people that matter most, our clients.

“It’s an honour to be recognised by Trustist in its Top Performing Franchisee category, and we’re proud to receive a diamond rating.”

Ovenu Brentwood continues to accept bookings at its discretion, with the strict stipulation that both parties observe a two-metre social distancing rule, along with guidelines on hygiene and cleanliness.

As well as Brentwood, the business covers Mountnessing, West Horndon, Herongate, Great Warley, Kelvedon Hatch, Pilgrim’s Hatch and surrounding areas.

The Ovenu valeting process involves dismantling key components of an oven and placing them into design-registered tank equipment, which uses safe, non-caustic products that leave it in near showroom condition.
