New mobile solution improves the customer shopping experience

A new cloud solution, which aims to improve the customer experience, has been specifically developed for retailers.

WorkMobile®, an award winning cloud and mobile data capture service, has launched WorkMobile® for Retail. The app allows those working on the shop floor, warehouse or back office, to easily collect, monitor and share data to improve the efficiency of customer service and ensure that stock information is always to hand.

Replacing paper forms, the WorkMobile® for Retail app allows retail workers to capture data in real-time through mobile forms that can be accessed via the users’ smartphone, tablet, laptop or PC.

Typically, retailers store a large amount of data, such as customer orders and information about the products stocked, often via time consuming and costly paper-based methods. WorkMobile for Retail allows this to be done digitally, meaning information can be easily managed, and will be readily available to employees dealing with customer product or stock enquiries.

WorkMobile for Retail’s flexible form designer allows users to create mobile forms relevant to the specific job in hand, including stock control, product descriptions and images, and customer feedback forms. Mobile forms can then be quickly deployed to employee’s devices, enabling workers to stay in contact at all times with colleagues operating from different stores, or between an in-store staff member and a worker located at the warehouse, for example.

Customers will no longer have to wait for workers to manually check the stock room to see if a product is available with the application’s live updates which alert staff when information is changed, a useful feature for retailers where stock levels will change throughout the day.

Back-office systems can be updated instantaneously so that all product information is constantly up-to-date, and employees have instant access to essential records whether they’re on site, on the shop floor or in the warehouse.
