New MD and management team at The Maxim Creative Group

A Northwest commercial interior design, manufacturing and fit out company announces its new MD as it expands into new market sectors.

The Maxim Creative Group’s former director of sales, Michael McVey, has taken over as MD of the company, having bought a majority share in the 20 year old business.

Michael has been with The Maxim Creative Group for over a decade and has ambitious growth plans for the Manchester business, which employs 60 people and has an annual turnover of more than £5m.

The Maxim Creative Group offers a complete design consultancy from its in-house HQ. The company creates, manufactures and fits out interiors across a number of industries, including retail, leisure & hospitality and office & workplace, with high profile clients including The Fragrance Store, Fila, Halfords, William Hill and Punch Taverns.

“This is an exciting new era for the company,” says Michael. “It has a strong heritage but with new markets ripe for converting and increasing demand from existing clients, we could see the need to grow further. 

"We are investing in new machinery, staff and offices and aiming for a 75% increase in turnover over the next 12 months as we build on our complete ‘One Stop Shop’ facility from ‘design to fit out’ offering.”

A new management team has been created by Michael. Stephen Hargreaves has been brought into head up Sales, while Christopher Howlett will head up Design. They are joined by Jeff Bennett, Head of Operations; Andrew Knight, Head of Finance; Mark Whitehead, Head of Technical Development and Peter McCarrick, Head of Production. 

Concludes Michael: “The Maxim Creative Group enjoys a strong reputation and this management team is second to none. I’m delighted and proud to take the role of MD.

“As we enter a new era and invest in new technologies we’ll be building on the strong heritage of the company and delivering an even more diverse range of services for our wide portfolio of clients.
