Park Group – the UK’s leading provider of prepaid gift cards, multi-retailer gift vouchers and digital rewards services – has appointed a new Group HR Director as the company gears up for customer growth and expansion.

Claire Jones, from Chester, joins as AIM-listed Park’s new Group HR Director after spending 13 years in financial services as Head of HR Business Partnering at Bank of America, Chester credit card company MBNA and, latterly, Lloyds Banking Group.

Claire will lead on key areas of the company’s new strategic plan for growth announced towards the end of 2018, which includes the relocation of core parts of the business to Liverpool city centre, as well as enterprise resource planning, skills and talent management and recruitment and retention.

“It is an incredibly exciting time to be joining Park,” said Claire. “Our new strategic plan gives us a very clear direction of travel, it opens up huge opportunities for growth and all of our people will play a critical role in shaping the future of our company.

“We want to retain and recruit the very best people and ensure we’re building for a future anchored in digital. Key to this is making sure we have the capabilities to match our strategic intent and ensure we can move at pace to drive the business forward.”

“Any strategy can only be as good as the people in place to deliver it, and that’s why we’re keen to invest in and grow our team here at Park,” said Ian O’Doherty, Group CEO at Park.

“I’m delighted to have Claire join us to drive our new people strategy forward and ensure we have the fit-for-future skills and capabilities we need to achieve our ambitions as a company.”

Park Group is set to expand into new Liverpool offices in 2019.

“With our expansion into Liverpool, we’re keen to explore ways to strengthen our links with key network groups in the city,” Claire added. “As we grow as a company, we want to be an ever-stronger supporter and contributor to the city region’s economy.”
