A flooring retailer which only had an online presence eight years ago is now preparing to open its 20th physical store - and its first in London.

Flooring retailer prepares to open first London store

"Its always been our ambition to have a presence in the Capital so the fact the Brent Cross store will also be our 20th nationally is very special."

A flooring retailer will this weekend open its first store in London and its 20th nationally.

Strictly Come Dancing star Neil Jones will perform the opening of a new Flooring Superstore at Staples Corner Retail Park on Saturday 8th August.

One of the UK’s fastest-growing flooring retailers, Flooring Superstore is investing £100,000 and creating four new jobs with the opening of the 3,500 square foot store.

Shoppers will have access to an unrivalled range of carpets but also a huge choice of other flooring, such as vinyl, laminate, real wood, luxury vinyl tiles and the UK’s largest selection of artificial grass. The latter is designed to meet the growing demand from householders for artificial, rather than real, grass.

Flooring Superstore Regional Manager Ian Robinson said: “We are delighted to be opening our newest store in London and to have Neil Jones as our guest of honour.

“It’s not every day you get a star from one of Britain’s favourite TV shows to open your store and we are sure shoppers will be looking forward to seeing him on the day.

“It’s always been our ambition to have a presence in the Capital so the fact the Brent Cross store will also be our 20th nationally is very special.

“Just eight years ago, we were purely an online brand, but we have grown rapidly and opened physical bricks and mortar stores which now stretch from Scotland down to Devon, with plans to open more during the rest of 2020 and into 2021.”

To mark the opening, Flooring Superstore is running a free, instore ‘Golden Ticket’ promotion. Anyone who comes into the store, regardless whether they are buying flooring or not, will be invited to take one of 150 tickets. 145 of these tickets will have 15% off flooring, four will give people £250 to spend in-store and one golden ticket will give a lucky person £1,000 to spend on flooring ranges of their choice.

Ian added: “This is something we have started to do with the opening of all new stores, and it has proven very popular, particularly because no purchases are necessary.

“Depending on the ranges of flooring the winner chooses, it could be enough to floor an average two-bedroom house, so it’s a great way to introduce ourselves to the people of Brent Cross and North West London.”
