Apprentice-runner up Neil Clough has launched Prime, a company set up to revolutionise the way people view sales recruitment.
Unlike its competitors, Prime delivers a complete sales recruitment solution, recruiting and training salespeople across all industry sectors. The business offers seven days expert sales training, including tailoring training to a specific sector.
The unique business strategy also promises to remove the risk of recruitment to companies by supporting new recruits’ development through their first year. Prime’s on-the-job training regime is designed to guarantee that candidates pass through their probationary period, offering a free replacement should a candidate not work out.
From its base in Manchester, the business uses training days and its unique ‘Prime Zone’ competency system to evaluate the skills and potential of every candidate, and offers further training to those that are unsuccessful.
Neil Clough appeared on 2013’s series of BBC1’s hit TV programme The Apprentice, in which Lord Alan Sugar sets 16 candidates a series of tasks for a prize of £250,000 partnership in a business of their design.
Neil Clough, managing director of Prime, said: “Prime is a response to a considerable problem in one of the UK’s largest industries. Sales is a sector notorious for high staff turnover, meaning that it is critical for businesses to retain their expert sales professionals and offer them the best training.
“Prime does this. Our aim is to provide the best sales talent, and by using our unique ‘Prime Zone’ system and offering continued training once in a job, we are confident that Prime provides a unique and valuable service to the business community. I am excited to launch this new business, and I look forward to growing our base over the coming months.”
