Leading Preston and Chorley-based law firm, Marsden Rawsthorn, has appointed two new solicitors to its Chorley team to facilitate its future growth plans.
Helen Gaskell and Gail Cartwright join from Pannone and Linder Myers respectively. The appointments build on the investment Marsden Rawsthorn made when it relocated to its Buckshaw Village office a year ago.
Helen takes up the position of associate director for wills and probate, whilst Gail will strengthen Marsden Rawsthorn’s family team. Both bring with them significant knowledge and expertise in their sectors.
Helen trained with Coupe Bradbury in Lytham, specialising in private client work. Whilst there, she completed her STEP diploma (Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners). After a spell at Napthens, she moved to Pannone in 2011 and was made an associate in the wills, trusts &estate planning team. She became a full member of Solicitors for the Elderly and is on the STEP committee for Manchester. Helen also works closely with a number of charities which help families with disabled children or adults,advising them on how to best structure their wills and estates to protect their vulnerable beneficiary and is a regular speaker on the topic.
Gail started her career at Myers Lister Price in South Manchester, before making the move to central Manchester where she spent 14 years working for Rowlands and most recently Linder Myers.
Gail has considerable expertise in all aspects of family law, including divorce; complex financial matters; prenuptial agreements and parental responsibility. She is a member of Resolution, a national organisation of more than 6,500 family lawyers and is a trained Collaborative Lawyer.
