People Matters HR scoop top industry award

Hot on the heels of an exciting year

People Matters HR scoop top industry award

"Its been a rollercoaster of a year and its a huge honour to win this prestigious accolade"
Neil Cope, Managing Director People Matters HR

Leading HR consultancy People Matters HR are celebrating after scooping a top industry award. The Ramsbottom-based business has been named Breathe Partner of the Year, beating off competition from over 700 businesses across the UK.

The Breathe HR Awards are run by Breathe HR, the number one, cloud-based HR software solution for SMEs in the UK. They were devised to celebrate and reward many of the exceptional partners in the HR industry across the length and breadth of the country.

Partner Director, Nicky Forsyth said:

"People Matters HR has been an enthusiastic partner of Breathe for over 5 years and our partnership has flourished since they took the decision to make Breathe an integral part of their offering to clients. PMHR were selected as our Partner of the Year for their dedication to the industry combined with good business practice mixed with lots of fun!"

Award-winning People Matters HR are one of the North West’s leading consultancies offering a fresh new approach to managing HR in the SME market. The company was founded in 2011 by Niel Cope, to provide businesses across the region with a bespoke, Director-level outsourced HR solution at a fraction of the cost, allowing customers to create strong leaders, engaged teams and a better ROI.

The award win comes after a busy year for the consultancy. The business has helped hundreds of local businesses negotiate staff issues throughout the pandemic, as CEO Niel Cope explains:

“When the first lockdown began, bosses had no real guidance on how to handle this unprecedented turn of events. Words like “furlough” that are now commonplace were pretty much unknown.

“As a HR company, we had to quickly step in to ensure all of our clients were operating effectively and treating their staff fairly”.

In addition, the business has seen a new member of staff join the team, and has built a brand new office in the heart of Ramsbottom, to accommodate the new style of agile working. The purpose built premises, with it’s striking modern design, will act as a hub for clients and staff to come together when a face to face meeting is required, with the flexibility of homeworking as an option.

Niel Cope, Managing Director said:

“It’s been a rollercoaster of a year and it’s a huge honour to win this prestigious accolade. The Breathe awards really do showcase the best of the best in the HR world and the competition is tough.

“At People Matters HR, it’s our mission to transform our client’s businesses through award-winning consultancy services that increases their profits through combining outstanding innovative thinking with fantastic value.”
