New-build residential scheme completes in Leeds city centre

"The latent demand for city centre and fringe housing is probably greater in Leeds than in any other city in the UK and we are enjoying a strong and growing economy built on diversity"
Jonathan Morgan, City Centre Specialist

Work has completed on a brand new residential development in Leeds city centre following a significant investment by developer Countrylarge Ltd on land formerly occupied by the former Cavalier Pub on Ellerby Road in East Bank. Named ‘Public Haus’ in a lightly-veiled reference to the heritage of the site, this is one of only a handful of new schemes to be completed in Leeds city centre in the last decade.

The 16 two-bedroomed apartments are ready to occupy and come complete with contemporary sanitary-ware, modern fitted kitchens, electric central heating, recessed LED lighting, and generous double glazed windows- some apartments have panoramic southerly views of the city. With plenty of space on offer, the apartments’ fully fitted kitchens have integrated appliances including electric ovens, ceramic hobs, integrated fridge freezers and dishwashers. Each apartment has an off street parking space.

Jonathan Morgan, City Centre Specialist at Linley & Simpson with Morgans, who have been instructed to sell the apartments says, “High quality, individual schemes in the heart of Leeds are few and far between these days, which is why we are confident that Public Haus will generate plenty of interest. The development will give some of the growing army of fans of city living a chance to live in brand new, high quality apartments, just a few minutes’ walk from the centre of Leeds.

“The latent demand for city centre and fringe housing is probably greater in Leeds than in any other city in the UK and we are enjoying a strong and growing economy built on diversity- Leeds is home to the leading financial and business services sector outside London, 2 major universities with over 70,000 students, resident theatre, ballet and opera companies, world class sports facilities, a retail offer which is hard to beat, a fast-growing independent food and drink sector and transport links to be proud of. We are already seeing a wave of substantial residential or mixed use schemes taking Leeds, as the market picks up.”

Prices for the apartments range from £185,000 - £225,000. For more details visit www.linleyandsimpson.co.uk or call Linley & Simpson with Morgans on 0113 3980099.
