Another Award Win Gives Fast-Growing Storage Giant A Vote of Confidence

"It is important that consumers are able to have confidence in the choices they make, and awards such as this one are a real vote of confidence in our operations and in our focus upon a stable future."
Simon Williams, MD of Storage Giant

The largest self-storage specialist in Wales, Storage Giant, has been named Storage Provide of the Year in the Cardiff Prestige Awards – the firm’s sixth accolade in the past two years.

The private self-storage company, which started life as a single unit concern in Newport, at the onset of the recession, and is now a multi-million turnover business, impressed the judges with its continued dedicated to customer care, and for its impressive story of carefully managed growth and expansion.

Storage Giant has plotted out a major growth plan for the coming two years, with nine operational facilities in Wales and the wider UK, and a further seven sites in its active pipeline. It is poised to cut the ribbon on a 54,000 state-of-the-art mixed use storage facility in Brislington, Bristol in June 2020.

Simon Williams, Storage Giant CEO said: “Businesses and consumers are living through very testing times at the moment, because of the COVID-19 issue and the associated economic problems this is giving rise to. It is important that people are able to have confidence in the choices they make, as consumers, and awards such as this one are a real vote of confidence in our operations and in our focus upon a stable, successful future. I’m delighted that the Prestige Awards judges noted our dedication to the best quality customer care. It has always been a foundation stone of everything we do, and I would like to say thank you to our teams across the Storage Giant network for exceeding our customers’ expectations.”

The Prestige Award follows a win for Storage Giant at the Business Excellence Awards in February and a double win at the Business Growth Awards in March where they won the Economic Contribution category and the main Company of the Year accolade on the night.

As well as creating new facilities, Storage Giant has been focusing in the past year upon adding extra space to existing stores, to meet demand. The company opened Phase Three Swansea Enterprise Park site in January, which added an extra 10,500 sq ft. This year will also see the opening of Phase Two Telford, and Phase Two Cannock.  Storage Giant offers self-storage for domestic and business clients, as well as low cost office space, particularly attractive to SMEs.
