Bolton based Building Validation Solutions (BVS) – the national property claims validation specialist – has launched a new division BVS Subsidence, which aims to introduce a change in the way subsidence claims are handled.
The company – which began in Bolton in 2010 – has employed subsidence specialist Giles Carter to lead the new division. Giles has worked within the industry for nearly 20 years.
Giles explains: “The approach to subsidence claims has been unchanged for the past 20 years. Many insurers are nervous of the potential complexity and high costs often perceived to be associated with subsidence claims. Our approach focuses on the core values of innovation, support and transparency to deliver a solution that is simple, effective and reduces costs for both insurers and most importantly their customers”
Continued Giles: “BVS Subsidence’s bespoke claims management system MetrixTM – which was developed in Bolton by sister company PJ Web – coupled with our innovative approach to subsidence claims, will change the industry, increasing customer satisfaction levels, reducing the times incurred by 30% and enabling cost savings of up to 60%.”
BVS managing director Chris Brown added: “This is an exciting time for BVS. Our new subsidence division, and the growth of BVS and PJ Web have enabled us to achieve huge growth over the past five years, increasing employee numbers from one to 51 and turnover from £800k to £7.9 million.
“The technology and systems we have designed, are leading the way in the claims validation market and we aim to do the same with subsidence claims. Our client base includes a number of the Top 10 UK insurance companies. With the launch of BVS Subsidence and our plans for other divisions we aim to grow the business by a further 20% over the next 12 months.”
