Flourishing property refurbishment business inspires new estate agency

SuCasa launches from the success of Horrocks Property Solutions

An experienced UK property operator has diversified its interests in the industry by launching an online estate agency.

Horrocks Property Solutions, a refurb and maintenance company founded 10 years ago by Daniel Horrocks has now created SuCasa after spending a decade working in the commercial and residential sector.

Daniel said: “Going way back, we were nurtured in the property market via our exposure to the plumbing and heating industry. Part of our portfolio involved working with a sole proprietor business that focused on property refurbishments. It gave me us great insight into both the building and property industry respectively.”

It was Daniel’s networking skills and engagement in working with investors to find projects that helped him expand his team and knowledge of the industry.

Daniel continued: “We would then manage the refurbishments and we soon became familiar with the financial viability of schemes. This led us to the two years of planning behind SuCasa and how it could stand out from the crowd. Given the combination of Horrocks Property Solutions’ contacts book and our experience in identifying and then refurbishing property, we believe SuCasa is in very good shape to build on the expertise of its sister business.”

In spite of the ‘uncertainty’ being mentioned in media circles about the UK property market in the last quarter, Daniel points out that “with uncertainty there is opportunity for buyers.”

He added: “When Brexit is sorted, either way, the Liverpool market will be even more buoyant. I think foreign investors will soon be even more comfortable buying in the UK again and tenants from EU countries will happily stay here and continue with their lives.

“In addition, people will always have reasons not to buy but in property, it’s never been a waiting game. It’s about seizing the moment and taking advantage of the opportunities presented to you at any given time. That’s what canny investors do.”
