'Assisted Move' To The Rescue For Countryside Home Buyer

With 30 being the average age of first time buyers, homeowner James Greenwood (26) is bucking the trend as he moves into his second home, after selling his first house in just 24 hours through Countryside's Assisted Move scheme.

'Assisted Move' To The Rescue For Countryside Home Buyer

"Through Countryside's Assisted Move scheme, I had a team of experts behind me that made it possible for me to sell my house in one day - it was amazing!"
James Greenwood

James is the proud owner of a brand new three-bedroom New Stamford home at Countryside’s popular Wren Green development in Bamber Bridge, where prices start from just £193,995. Buying through the developer’s Assisted Move initiative, James was able to sell his previous home in just one day.

James commented: “Countryside made the whole process really easy. Before meeting the sales team at Wren Green, I’d been trying to sell my house for a year. I’d tried everything but was struggling to find a buyer. Through Countryside’s Assisted Move scheme, I had a team of experts behind me that made it possible for me to sell my house in one day - it was amazing!

“With the equity from the sale, and Countryside’s 5% deposit match offer, I was able to put down a 10% deposit for my new home pretty easily, which isn’t the case for many people my age so I feel very lucky.”

Originally from Preston, James bought his first home at the age of 24 and now, two years later, is moving into his dream home with his dog Phoebe.

James continued: “My first property was an older home so the thought of a new build really appealed to me, as you get the luxury of everything already being done for you. Plus, through the deal Countryside offered, the washing machine, dishwasher and wardrobes in the master bedroom all came included, which was a huge help financially and made it the whole move much smoother.

“I had looked around at different homes but none of them had the ‘wow’ factor like a Countryside home. I just love the New Stamford’s skylight windows and en-suite in the master bedroom. Plus, Wren Green is in the perfect location for travelling around for work as it has great motorway links.”

Countryside’s Assisted Move scheme provides buyers with practical support in selling their existing home by working with an independent estate agent to get the best sale price. Once agreed, buyers can then reserve their new Countryside home. Plus, the homebuilder will pay the estate agent’s fees once the property is sold, saving buyers money and enabling a hassle-free move.

Mark Hadfield, Countryside’s Managing Director for Merseyside and Cheshire West said: “At Countryside we believe that buying a new home should be an exciting and enjoyable process, so any help we can offer our buyers is designed to make their journey as smoothly as possible. Whether that be helping to sell their old home through Assisted Move, or offering financial support through initiatives like our 5% deposit match offer.

“It is great to hear James’ story and see how the deal we offered made it possible for him to be able to buy his second home at the age of 26. Wren Green is the first Countryside development in the area and it has been fantastic to see its popularity continue to grow.”
