Newcastle-based property company, Adderstone Group has welcomed the appointment of Michael Foster-Smith to oversee the management of its expanding Projects Division.

Michael (left) joins the business as Managing Director of Adderstone Projects from US real estate investment business, Tishman Speyer, where he has been Senior Development Manager for the past six years, responsible for the delivery of a number of significant development projects including a 1.2m sq. ft HQ for an American investment bank in the City of London. In his new role, Michael will take overall responsibility for the delivery of all schemes within Adderstone Group’s Projects Division including; Baker’s Yard, a 90,000 sq. ft office, warehouse and industrial development on the site of Greggs’ former HQ in Gosforth, Newcastle; Pipewell Quay, a 30,000 sq. ft Grade A office development on the site of the former Baja Beach Club on Gateshead Quays; Tyne Bridge House, a 5,200 sq. ft landmark office development adjacent to the Tyne Bridge in Gateshead; Eastgate, a 40,000 sq. ft speculative office development adjacent to Manors Metro Station in Newcastle City Centre and Hanover Point, a development of 10 luxury apartments in the Stephenson Quarter behind Newcastle’s Central Station.

Adderstone Group CEO, Ian Baggett (pictured right) said: “Michael has delivered some amazing projects to date and we are delighted our portfolio has tempted him to move back up North.”

Michael said: “Adderstone Group is a real North East success story and I am really looking forward to getting stuck into some first-rate projects.”
