When looking for a property, most homebuyers look for three key things; location, comfort and size. For one lucky couple they found all three at Countryside’s Galton Lock development. Alex continued: “We bought the Tamar off plan as the showhome had not been built when we went to view the development. Our home has been built to an impeccable standard right down to the garden and driveway that can fit almost five cars.”
First time buyers Alex and Matt used the government’s 5% deposit Help to Buy scheme to make it more affordable for them to buy their dream property. Being able to move in to their new home just six months after they started househunting, the easy access to Birmingham, the motorway and being halfway between Alex and Matthew’s workplaces made Galton Lock the perfect place to buy their first home.
Alex added: “We had both been saving in a Help to Buy ISA for a couple of years and as we both had one, it meant we were able to save what we needed in half the amount of time. The sales team were really friendly and helpful, and buying our home through Help to Buy meant we could buy the home we really wanted, with the views we love.”
