Web designer jumps onboard at The Bigger Boat

"We believe she has a fantastic future ahead of her at The Bigger Boat."
Doug Main, creative director at The Bigger Boat

The Bigger Boat has brought in more ‘hands on deck’ to add to its growing team, with the appointment of a talented digital designer.

Charlotte Allen brings several years’ experience from a range of creative Yorkshire-based agencies including Elmwood, Vast, dust and Hypergram, moving to her latest role from brand design and marketing firm, Digitronix.

Her new position, at the Mirfield-based creative marketing agency, will see Charlotte further develop her digital knowledge and enhance the online presence of clients in the role of user interface/user experience (UI/UX) designer.

Charlotte’s key responsibilities include the creation of websites, email, digital assets, landing pages and microsites for customers – including global toy-making brand Little Tikes.

The 25-year-old, from Leeds, said: “The Bigger Boat is a tight-knit creative team operating in a relaxed environment, which empowers workers to develop both personally and professionally. It’s a fantastic agency in which to be able to learn and grow, as well as bounce ideas around in a space where everyone’s voice is heard.

“It’s fast-paced, but you’re still given the chance to shine because the work is shared out equally, which I absolutely love. The team has been so welcoming and definitely harnesses a culture that people want to be a part of.

“I feel like I can really take ownership of my role, and push my existing skillset to prove my mettle and flex those creative muscles!”

Doug Main, creative director at The Bigger Boat, added: “Charlotte has hit the ground running, showcasing a creativity and eagerness to learn and develop. Her confidence to support key clients, such as Little Tikes, has proved to be pivotal for our business – and she fits into our studio culture nicely. We believe she has a fantastic future ahead of her at The Bigger Boat.”

Charlotte is the latest addition to the growing team of 15 at the Wheatley Park-based agency, on the back of the arrivals of web developer John Bell and account manager Grace Lenihan.

The Bigger Boat produces a range of ROI-based creative marketing campaigns and data-driven, digital insight for international and domestic clients including Baby Annabell, baby BORN, Celloglas and Deuren.
