"This is a huge investment for the area, and one were thrilled to be part of. We look forward to welcoming guests over the coming months to see this new and exciting destination for themselves."

The Churchill, on Swindon Road, is a new development from leading pub retailer and brewer, Greene King, and brings a new build lodge, perfect for overnight stays, to the local area.

The opening of the new 28-bedroom lodge has created eight new jobs and is the first location in Greene King’s 2,700 estate to install electric vehicle (EV) charging points. The building will also use renewable energy as part of its commitment to sustainability.

Located just 30 minutes away from the Cotswolds and North Wessex Downs, the Churchill lodge is the perfect home away from home. The accompanying pub on site also makes the Churchill Lodge the ideal location for locals looking to enjoy a cosy staycation, as well making a perfectly-situated base for those visiting family or friends from further afield.

The Churchill is also set to be a popular place to stay for those on business in the nearby town of Swindon. Near to the M4 and with great national transport links, the lodge is close to several business locations, and the Churchill Pub & Grill offers the perfect place to unwind after a busy day.

Featuring double, twin, family and accessible bedrooms, each complete with modern décor and an individual bathroom, there is a space suitable for any stay. There are also a number of dog-friendly rooms for those who want to bring along a four-legged friend. Even better, all rooms have a luxurious Hypnos beds, ensuring guests have a comfortable and truly refreshing stay.

Ana Carvalho, general manager at the Churchill, said: “We’re thrilled to have finally opened the doors to the Churchill, and to be able to welcome the first guests into our new, homely lodge.

“The Churchill is the perfect place to enjoy a cosy getaway, as well being ideally located for those on business trips or visiting family and friends. We’ve already had some great feedback from our visitors and pub-goers, who are impressed by the features, quality and affordability of our rooms here at the lodge, and many can’t wait to come and stay with us.”

“This is a huge investment for the area, and one we’re thrilled to be part of. We look forward to welcoming guests over the coming months to see this new and exciting destination for themselves.”

There are more than 130 Greene King Inns across the UK, so there’s always a comfortable place to stay near your next destination. Each hotel offers friendly staff and a great night’s sleep, as well as a great British pub at its heart. Traditional food and drink are served every day, and the pubs offer a warm and cosy atmosphere – so no matter how far from home you’re staying, you can always feel like a local.
