Children at a Taunton nursery have enjoyed a very special visit from the South West Ambulance Service.
Toddlers and pre-school children at the Mama Bear’s Day Nursery and Pre-School in Wellington Road, were able to climb on board and explore the ambulance while paramedic Harvey showed them around.
The children also received a special talk from Harvey who spoke about what his job involves and how the ambulance service helps people.
Nursery manager Kerry Sturmey, said: “We would like to say a huge thank you to the South West Ambulance Service, and particularly Harvey, for taking the time to come and visit us.
“The children had a wonderful time and learnt so much about ambulances and the emergency services – they couldn’t stop talking about it afterwards!
“It is great to be able to provide the children with memories like this, which they can go home and talk to their families about and which are sure to stay with them for a long time!
“It was also a great exercise to promote an understanding of different occupations, the community, people and how they help us.”
