Don’t bother with a coat, that’s not how we party here in the North — pick your favourite from your collection of party dresses and let’s go!

1.   Revolution — Newcastle

Revolution could make the perfect venue for your next big event. They offer an array of party packages, from birthdays, hen parties, stag dos, office parties, to just good old-fashioned parties with friends.

At this venue, you’ll experience great food service; this means you don’t need to worry about caterers. They even offer bar tab options and team building events, so you now know where your next office party has to be!

Must-try: You can’t go to Revolution without indulging in the countless, exotic cocktails. From a classic Long Island Iced Tea to beautiful creations such as the Butterfly Effect, you’ll be spoilt for choice. For the designated drivers, Revolution has you covered with a range of 0% alcohol cocktails that are just as delicious as their boozy counterparts: try out the Smooth Talker, or the aptly named Designated Driver.

Customer reviews: Did you know that this venue is rated 4/5 on Trip Advisor? In fact, scroll through the review and you’ll be hard pressed to find a review that doesn’t mention a staff member by name to praise. Always a good sign!

Address: Collingwood Street, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE1 1JF

2.   Quayside Exchange — Sunderland

Quayside Exchange can add the glitz and glamour to your next corporate event. Are you inviting clients? They’ll be heavily impressed! They cater to all kinds of events, including private parties and proms.

When it comes to booking, you’ll have two room choices.  The Grand Room is their larger space, with huge Georgian windows offering amazing views of the River Wear. With two private bars in the suite, this one would be great for office parties or larger celebrations.

For a more close-knit and intimate evening, pick the Vaulted Suite. Plus, you can head out to the heated terrace for some peace and riverside views.

If you like to party hard, what about the Tempest Bar? It was refurbished in 2017, so it has a fantastic, modern feel and so many contemporary features. From hog roasts to DJ hire, you’re sure to get your party off on the right foot here!

Must-try: Their food is amazing! TripAdvisor is full of compliments for this venue’s food offerings, with the buffet of particular note.

Customer reviews: From weddings to parties and everything in between, customers have highlighted the professional standard of the stand and venue alike.

3.   York’s Chocolate Story — York

For a quirky venue that still boasts quality service and fantastic party resources, take a look at York’s Chocolate Story. The three-story venue allows guests to hire out the Factory Zone, and this comes with a private drinks service as standard.

You can even get a private evening tour at this place too, however, blazers for men are a must if you want to look dapper! This party can be educational too, as the tour lets guests dip into the history of York’s premium chocolatiers as well as picking up some techniques from the chocolatiers themselves.

Ask about, but we heard you can even design your own chocolate. Pick the filling, the colours, the design, and then…scoff the lot, of course!

Must-try: Chocolate!

Customer reviews: Rated 4.5/5 on TripAdvisor, a lot of reviewers say that the best part about the venue is the chocolate!
