"This was our biggest and most ambitious dinner to date, and it was a huge success."
Auditorium manager Dan Brookes
The Princess Alexandra Auditorium in Yarm hosted more than 300 guests at a Gala Dinner hosted by tennis coach and Strictly star Judy Murray and featuring guest speaker former international footballer John Hartson.
The National Premier League (NPL) black tie event took place ahead of the NPL Tennis Finals, which took place at David Lloyd Stockton and Tennis World in Middlesbrough.
The Princess Alexandra Auditorium has cemented its place as a major entertainment venue in the North East. It has recently hosted big names including Jimmy Carr, Jason Donovan, Michael Parkinson, The Drifters and Alastair McGowan.
Auditorium manager Dan Brookes said: “This was our biggest and most ambitious dinner to date, and it was a huge success.
“Our chefs created an exceptional menu and our new lounge bar enabled guests to enjoy reasonably priced drinks throughout the evening.
“As a premium venue we’ve attracted some household names in music, sport and show business, some of whom come back on a regular basis. Hosting dinners and special events such as the NPL dinner is a natural progression and something we are looking forward to doing more of in the future.”
