Lancashire-based WHN Solicitors has thrown its weight behind two Lancashire charities, racking-up £1,870 following the success of its business quiz event.
The quiz night, which pitted the wits of some of the county’s biggest business brains, has bolstered the charity coffers of The Joshua Wilson Brain Tumour Charity and Headway.
Woodcocks Haworth and Nuttall joined forces with 77 people from the Lancashire business community at the Red Hall Hotel in Bury. Their knowledge was put to the test on topics including literature, history, music and general knowledge.
Pierce Accountants were victorious, notching up an impressive 52 points to scoop the winner’s trophy. Second to the top spot was PM+M Accountants, while Kings Chambers placed third.
Gary Jones, commercial partner at WHN Solicitors, said: “WHN is committed to supporting the local community so we’ve extended a hand to back two charities very close to our hearts.
“The Joshua Wilson Brain Tumours Charity and Headway both provide vital support for families in need but they rely on the support of local people to operate, so we’re more than happy to rally together to make a difference.”
The Joshua Wilson Brain Tumour Charity provides support to children and their families with brain tumours and post-surgery disabilities, while Headway works to improve life after brain injury by providing support, services and information to brain injury survivors, their families and carers.
