Redditch property team laying strong foundations

"We have been able to secure a broad range of deals on the commercial property front, consisting of sales, purchases and leases for businesses both in Redditch and Bromsgrove."

Leading Midlands law firm FBC Manby Bowdler says business is booming for its property team in Redditch – with both commercial and residential sides expanding.

The company now has a team of eight working from its new Redditch base, the largest in the town.

FBC Manby Bowdler sales director Neil Lloyd said the volume of both residential and commercial deals was growing, with both markets still in a healthy shape.

“We have been developing our property offer since acquiring the law firm, Kerwoods, last year and are delighted with the results we have been achieving.

“We have been able to secure a broad range of deals on the commercial property front, consisting of sales, purchases and leases for businesses both in Redditch and Bromsgrove.

“On the residential side we have been concentrating on offering a tailored service which gives clients access to a solicitor as well as a paralegal. This personal and responsive service is already starting to produce results.”

The commercial property team is led by Ifzal Akhtar who has a broad experience, working in the fields of commercial, real estate and finance.

FBC Manby Bowdler acquired Kerwoods in October 2018 and Ifzal became a Senior Associate for the firm, joining the commercial property team. He is a recognised expert in real estate and Islamic finance.

Veronica Du’Quesnay, who leads the residential team, became a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives in 2010 and became an Associate at FBC Manby Bowdler at the time of the acquisition. Veronica deals with all aspects of residential property but specialises in sales and purchases of freehold and leasehold properties which are over 20 years old.

Ifzal can be contacted at ifzal.akhtar@fbcmb.co.uk or on 01527 588968, whilst Veronica is available through veronica.duquesnay@fbcmb.co.uk or 01527 588966.
