"We are offering aservice to our patients that we can be proud of and that reflects the high standard of dental care and service we strive for."
Dr Arman Maqbool
Dental sector specialists Clarke Willmott LLP have assisted Manningtree dentist Dr Arman Maqbool to purchase his first surgery.
Arman, supported by Lloyds Bank Commercial Banking and advised by Helen Wong MBE from Clarke Willmott, acquired 50 per cent of Manningtree Dental Practice.
The practice in Manningtree High Street is now accepting new patients, and aims to grow its patient base by 20 per cent by 2020.
“I’m absolutely delighted for Arman,” said Helen Wong, who specialises in brokering dental practice sales.
“He is thrilled to have been able to get on to the dental practice ladder and to own his own business for the first time.
“The acquisition also means he can boost the range of services available to patients in the local community.”
Arman worked at the surgery in Manningtree High Street for several years before taking part- ownership this year with an option to acquire the remaining share in the future.
The practice now offers new advanced cosmetic treatments, including cosmetic bonding and advanced whitening procedures, and clear braces and cosmetic implant dentistry.
“It was always an ambition of mine to own my own practice and where better to buy than the place I work at, who I know, like and trust,” said Arman.
“We are offering a service to our patients that we can be proud of and that reflects the high standard of dental care and service we strive for.
“Our focus is now on bedding-in the business over the next year and delivering an outstanding quality of care.”
Helen Wong was recommended to Arman by Lloyds Bank Commercial Banking.
“I chose Helen because she was approachable, friendly and clear. I found Helen and her team to be responsive, pragmatic and of great assistance,” added Arman.
“She helped to solve a problem raised by the bank which was a breakthrough in this transaction.”
