Included in the festivities is Live Music from Justin, delicious BBQ food and Alfie’s Ice Cream Truck will be supplying desserts.
Since 2014, thousands of UK care homes have been opening their doors to welcome the public, to connect residents with their local communities, and change perceptions of care homes for good.
Katrina Bell, home manager at Oake Meadows, said: “Residents look forward to open days and love the music, food, fun and spending time with people who may not normally visit.
“It’s all about everyone getting together and having a laugh.”
The event is at 33 Wyvern Road, Taunton, TA1 4RA, the fun begins at 10am and everyone is welcome!
Oake Meadows, Taunton is part of Larchwood Care and is managed by Healthcare Management Solutions. The service provides residential care for up to 105 people making a significant contribution to the Taunton community, particularly for people with dementia and learning disabilities.
