Theres a spring in the step of Deddington care home residents after farm visit

"The residents enjoyed cuddles from the lambs and being able to stroke the chicks. Even the care home staff got to have a cuddle!"
Holly Rose, Home Manager at Featherton House

Featherton House used their newly acquired minibus to take a group of residents to nearby Hadsham Farm, where farm staff helped residents to stroke and pet the animals, with new born-lambs settling on several residents’ laps.

Holly Rose, Home Manager at Featherton House, said: “The staff at the farm were fantastic. They made us feel so welcome. The residents enjoyed cuddles from the lambs and being able to stroke the chicks. Even the care home staff got to have a cuddle!

“Now the weather is improving we are hoping to have more trips out in our mini bus.”

The home, which is based on Chapel Square, Deddington, regularly organises outings and events for its residents.

Featherton House Care Home forms part of Wren Retirement Living and is managed by Healthcare Management Solutions. The service provides residential care for up to 23 older people.
