New Chester healthcare centre offers 100 free treatments in launch week

""

People with health complaints ranging from stress to arthritis, diabetes or insomnia will be able to access the latest in conventional and complementary healthcare at a new centre opening in Chester.

Beehive Healthcare is giving visitors a chance to try services including health and life coaching, acupuncture, nutritional advice, laughter yoga, and magnetic resonance stimulation for free or at a reduced cost as part of a week-long celebratory launch event.

More than 100 treatment sessions will be available on a first-come, first-served basis during the centre’s opening week, which starts on Tuesday 23 June.

Located in the premises formerly used as the Northgate Village Surgery, Beehive Healthcare has been founded by Sharon Shelbourne, a former NHS nurse and manager for Cheshire West and Chester Council’s children’s services with more than 25 years’ experience in the NHS.

The centre, which has nine treatment rooms and a studio space for classes such as pilates, qi gong and seated exercises will allow visitors to access a range of complementary and conventional treatments under one roof.

Beehive Healthcare has engaged with a team of specialists in areas of healthcare including herbal and Chinese medicine, nutrition and counselling.

The availability of different specialist treatments under the same roof means that expert practitioners can work together to create bespoke treatment packages, ensuring each client’s treatment will be best met using a combination of different therapies

Sharon said that demand for approaching health holistically was growing among all age groups and complements the medical model used in the NHS.

She said: “We’re finding more and more that people are looking for a combination of therapies as a way of remedying long-standing problems as well as to maintain their general health and wellbeing.

“The Beehive Healthcare name reflects what we’re trying to achieve – bringing experts in different health and wellbeing professions together to work in harmony and achieve the best possible results for our clients.

“We’re opening our doors to anyone that wants to come down and have a look at the range of treatments we have on offer.  Anyone who has a recurring medical condition that they’re looking to discuss can visit for advice from one of our experts

“All you need to do is book into a session for our launch week – we’re keen to meet people and show them they can benefit from the services we have on offer.”

Sharon also said that she was looking to speak to self-employed practitioners that have an interest in working alongside the existing team of professionals at Beehive Healthcare.

“We’re open to new practitioners joining the team here. From a healthcare practitioner’s perspective, we have fantastic facilities that offer great flexibility to work around their appointments schedules and existing client base.

The centre, on Northgate Avenue, will be open from 8.30am until 5.30pm from Monday to Friday, with some evening sessions and classes also available.
