CST Pharma to Distribute Innovative Anti-Viral Face Coverings to Pharma Industry

"Right away we recognised the potential in the Virustatic Shield and knew it would be a strong addition to our existing portfolio."
Jason Yates, Managing Director

CST Pharma supplies to wholesalers, pharmacy groups, hospitals, private hospitals, specialist clinics, clinical trial providers, charities and many other healthcare providers both in the UK and internationally. The company has now added the ground-breaking Virustatic Shield to its product list, making it the leading supplier of the unique, antiviral face coverings to the pharmaceutical industry in the UK.

The Virustatic Shield is the only face covering available to be coated with an innovative protein coating calledViruferrin™. The Virustatic Shield is the result of over 10 years of research and development, and it has beenproven to block, capture and disable up to 99% of viruses, including influenza and SARS-CoV-2, rendering the viruses inert.

Jason Yates, managing director at CST Pharma, said:

“Right away we recognised the potential in the Virustatic Shield and knew it would be a strong addition to our existing portfolio. The fact that the protective protein used comes with independent scientific certification only strengthens our belief in the snoods and this will undoubtedly be a strong selling point for the many pharma professionals we supply to.

“The easy to wear snood design is light and breathable, it fits snugly to the face, limiting gaps where the virus can escape. Plus, it is easier to use as they hang around neck when not in use. It’s re-usable so is more cost-effective than traditional, single use masks, plus you don’t get the condensation/moisture issues either. These are all qualities we feel will make the product hugely popular with our customer base.”

Andy Wadlow, Sales Director at Virustatic Ltd. said:

“It has always been our mission to reach and protect as many people as possible with our ground-breaking face coverings, which are proven to work against the current pandemic. Our global growth strategy is underpinned by the accrual of distribution partners in key regions and, thanks to the company’s strong reputation, stringent product selection procedures and wide-reaching customer base, CST Pharma was a natural fit for us as a distributor. It’s a company that inspires trust in its customers, bringing only the highest quality products to market.”
