A local mum of two, Cath Stock, from Bradwell, Newcastle-under-Lyme is celebrating becoming a bestselling author this week – after being asked to contribute as an expert to the guidebook on health, happiness and wellbeing - and within hours of its release it has become a bestseller on Amazon book charts.

‘The Warrior Wellbeing Toolkit’ is an incredible collaborative guidebook for men and women to help the reader not feel alone when it comes to their mental health and wellbeing. This toolkit helps them take their health, happiness and wellbeing back into their own hands. It went straight in at Number 1 on the Amazon bestseller charts in five categories: Mental Health, Mental Illness, Psychology and Mental Health, Psychology and Suicide, and Suicide and Psychology.

Cath Stock, 56, has written about her experiences living with depression, anxiety and other mental health issues and how after 20 years she managed to overcome all by using the “The Energy Alignment Method”. Having used this method to overcome her own demons she is looking to help others in changing their lives in the same way.

For a long time, Cath refused to accept that she needed help and became withdrawn from even some of her closest friends. One evening she agreed to meet up with them, which was a tipping point, suffering a large panic attack whilst out with them.

Cath said: “It wasn’t a good feeling ...they were all talking about what their kids were doing...Both my teenagers (who I loved deeply, of course and still do with all my heart) were going through extremely challenging times and I felt a failure….  I broke down completely, the panic gripping me so tight in my chest, heart, lungs I could barely breathe…”

This was the start of over 20 years on and off medication, suffering from depression, anxiety, panic attacks and sometimes feeling suicidal. The panic attacks got worse for Cath as time went on, she describes herself as feeling “paralyzed” on numerous occasions. At this point it seemed easier sometimes to stay in bed, having become overwhelmed with every part of her life. She said: “I felt so overwhelmed and I hated myself for not being able to cope with life, as I perceived others did.”

This all changed after meeting an “incredible woman in the purple dress” at The Mind Body and Soul show in May 2017. Cath became completely ‘transfixed’ by her and her group of people and their talk of energy. The woman in charge of this was Yvette Taylor and what she was doing was ‘The Energy Alignment Method’, a technique that focuses on the Laws of Attraction and working with energy. Having been impressed by the positive effects of EAM (The Energy Alignment Method) and how it had changed her life, Cath trained to become a mentor to her help transform others’ lives.  Cath discovered that EAM and energy alignment helped more than any meds to deal with life's challenges.

She said: “It’s all just energy and every one of us has the power within to make the changes”. Cath is now one of only 31 people globally, currently trained as a mentor to work with people using EAM (The Energy Alignment Method) since it became fully accredited as a new ground-breaking holistic therapy in December 2018. She is also a member of The International Institute for Complimentary Therapists.

‘The Warrior Wellbeing Toolkit’ features 16 inspirational insights, self-help tools, expert techniques and Warrior wisdom from 16 collaborative authors. Each has a professional background in the personal development space, from coaches, physiologist, personal trainers to holistic and spiritual healers.

This collaboration book was spearheaded by Transformational Coach and Motivational Speaker, Carol-Ann Reid whom Cath has known for a long time as her daughter is childhood best friends with Carol-Ann. Carol-Ann said; "This book is a dream come true for me – and for it to become a best-seller overnight is phenomenal. I can’t wait to celebrate with Cath and all the other authors.”

The e-book was released this week and has already gone bestseller https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07YDYKXN2 and the paperback copy will be released on the 10th October – World Mental Health Day, which this year focuses on suicide prevention.

Carol-Anne continues: “After losing a family member to suicide, I wanted to release this passion project in honour of World Mental Health day to bring pro-active mental health support to Warriors around the world. I work with so many people who struggle with mental health or are at a cross roads in life daily and have experience of supporting with people who have been suicidal and helped to prevent suicide."

“The Warrior Wellbeing Toolkit is a guidebook for men and women who want to be free from their past, feel confident and resilient in their own skin, and live an empowered life knowing that if (or when) life throws them a curve ball, they have their own unique self-help tools and techniques at their fingertips to help keep their wellbeing a top priority. In this book, we’ve brought together mind, body and spirit which is a new approach to mental health in my eyes!”

Cath said: “I am so delighted that this book has become a number 1 best seller.” To celebrate the launch of this book, Cath is also launching her own business venture, Cath Stock Energy Transformation Mentor and you can contact her through facebook.com/cath.stock.
