Ipswich care home have them-elves a merry little Christmas

"Christmas has officially arrived here at Prince George House, and we were thrilled to be able to bring everyone together for a morning of festive fun for charity."
Jennie Rodger, home manager at Prince George House

The team at Prince George House, on Mansbrook Boulevard, opened the doors for their own ‘Elf Day’ celebration in aid of the Alzheimer’s Society.

On the day, residents and the team wore their best elf costume and enjoyed a relaxing morning indulging in an array of homemade cakes. They were also treated to a performance from the Cliff Lane Primary School choir.

Jennie Rodger, home manager at Prince George House, said: “Christmas has officially arrived here at Prince George House, and we were thrilled to be able to bring everyone together for a morning of festive fun for charity.

“Thousands of people around the UK are living with dementia, and we understand all too well how much this can affect their lives and the lives of their loved ones. Providing specialist dementia care is at the heart of what we do here, and we strongly believe that everyone deserves to have access to all the help and support they need.

“We are proud to be supporting the Alzheimer’s Society, and we’d like to say thank you to local people for joining us for a morning of festive fun and sweet treats with friends.”

Prince George House has been designed to deliver the very best standards of care and to enable residents to live active and fulfilled lives. The home provides full-time residential, nursing and specialist dementia care, as well as short-term respite. Prince George House also runs a day club, which offers older people living independently in the community the chance to make new friends and take part in enjoyable activities.
