Cambridge Entrepreneur Continues to Celebrate Becoming a Bestselling Author by Launching New Business Venture

"I am delighted that I have had the opportunity to share my story within this incredible book alongside other incredible women. I am even more delighted that it has become a best-seller!"
Charlotte Lewington

A female entrepreneur from Cambridge will continue her celebrations after becoming a bestselling author earlier this summer after bravely sharing her story of survival to inspire and show others that it’s possible to change the track you are on in life, if you master your mindset.

Charlotte Lewington, 32, from Cambridge courageously shares how she nearly died as a baby, and how losing her 13-year-old brother to cancer when she was only six has had a lasting impact on her life. Having struggled with low self-esteem and suffering at the hands of bullies in her youth, she was in the road to self-destruction, however, keen to share her highs as well as her lows Charlotte’s chapter within ‘When She Rises’ focuses on the pivotal moment she embarked on a self-development journey to overcome her own confidence and self esteem issues which have led to her becoming a best-selling author and coach empowering people across the globe.

‘When She Rises’ went straight in at Number 1 in; Business Reference & Education, Women’s Spirituality, and Collections Biographies sitting alongside criminologist, historian and author, OJ Modjeska’s book ‘Gone - Catastrophe in Paradise’ and the popular book box set ‘American History By The State’.  Supported by ITV’s Real Housewives of Cheshire, Leanne Brown, all proceeds and royalties from the book are going to the global charity One Woman At A Time, dedicated to improving the lives of women and girls in parts of Kenya, India and the UK who are severely disadvantaged by social or economic circumstances.

Within ‘When She Rises’, Charlotte recalls how charities helped to support her and her family explaining why she is so passionate about giving back via this book.

In adulthood, looking back, Charlotte realised that this cruel start to her own life affected her own emotional development and believes this led to confidence and self esteem issues in her school years and adulthood. Charlotte said; “I never believed I was pretty enough or good enough, the constant pressure to look and be a certain way always resonates with me because I never felt like I fitted in. I was never the popular girl and I didn’t have many friends.”

Within the book Charlotte goes on to further recognise how a bad relationship with a heavy drinker was a turning point for her.  ….we were always on and off and eventually I found out that he had been seeing someone else. I was heartbroken. I still didn’t really love myself, but I knew I definitely deserved better than what he was bringing to the table. This experience led me to question everything about myself and my life - I realised I wasn’t happy and this is where my self-development journey began or in keeping with the books title – ‘my rise!’”

After experiencing burnout having thrown herself into her career when her relationship ended, Charlotte tells of how her admission to hospital with palpitations was a wake up call that helped her recognise she needed to start putting herself first.

She then stopped watching television and started attending networking events and surrounding herself with other positive people striving for the best. She would read every book she could on personal development, money mindset and changing her thoughts and beliefs and she changed her routine and daily habits - alongside all this she realised that she craved time and financial freedom and wanted to be able to build a business from anywhere in the world.

Spearheaded by Tiffany Skirrow, a business mentor and founder of When She Rises Coaching, passionate about helping women turn their lives around and become their most successful selves, ’When She Rises’ exists to offer hope for others who are having a difficult time as well as being a celebration of the women featured and all they have overcome.

Charlotte said: “I am delighted that I have had the opportunity to share my story within this incredible book alongside other incredible women. I am even more delighted that it has become a best-seller and I hope that it inspires other women who maybe feeling stuck or limited. My life has not been easy but through the challenges I faced I have been able to grow and develop as a person. This has led me to becoming a coach. I am a natural empath, I am sensitive, and I have the ability to pick up on other people’s energies. My training as a psychologist has given me the skills needed to be able to understand how the mind works and why people behave the way they do.… I hope my story inspires and motivates readers to know that they can do anything they put their mind to.”

Charlotte is now a mindset and life transformation coach and is hosting a launch night on Friday 13th September at the Hotel Felix in Cambridge for her new business venture - Beautiful Mind - Beautiful You. Charlotte’s passion is to help other women believe in themselves and their capabilities - supporting other women and lifting each other up, she said: “I am so excited about my launch event and new business venture. There are so many women dealing with imposter syndrome- I would like to change this and provide an opportunity for women to come together in a safe place to network and have their cheerleaders routing them on and equipping with the right tools to enable them with the confidence to go after what they want to in life.”
